Located adjacent to Stanford University, the Peter Coutts condominium complex houses professionals associated with the local university. Our client, a classics professor at Stanford, tasked us with renovating her 90s-style condo into a modern abode for respite.

Vision

The project brief including adding a meandering staircase to an unoccupied attic space making it a spacious new level. Special attention was given to crafting each space with niches and moments throughout the home for uniqueness whereby reflecting the simplicity and clarity of Italian modern design. Natural light played a pivotal role in creating abundance and intimacy within the existing structure, connecting both the new attic story vertically down to the ground floor.
